PROMOTING GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN SPACE VENTURES

Let's see if we can get some discussion going about things that are preventing us from starting a new business? And once we get some, then hopefully somebody can help with a reply.
Is it an unfinished plan?
Is it the lack of an idea?
Is it the avoidance of an uncertain path?
Whatever is holding you back, let's hear about it! Get out of your comfort zone at least to write about what is stopping you. You might even find that just writing about it will turn an uneasy feeling of dread into a well thought out problem that is then able to be solved.

Although I started my business, it hasn't taken off. The thing that's keeping me from getting it really going is lack of time and money. I put a lot of time and several thousand dollars into it for a year and a half, but only had a couple customers, which reimbursed me about $10. So, I would say what's holding me back is trying to do it all myself.

I just returned from a workshop and the most important message that was repeated many times was the importance of knowing what our customers need. Really getting to know them especially at the irrational level. So, have you asked the customers you helped for their feedback? Why did they choose you and what did they like? What other problems are they having? What worries keep them awake at night?

This is advice that I will be taking myself too. The first thing I am going to do right now is offer free 15 minute consultations to high school teenagers interested in learning electronics. I'm sure that I have the experience to help with some one-on-one career advice and it will give me the opportunity to pay attention to what they have to say.

Gentlepersons:

To bring new products to market requires hardline designs and promotional material. Computer Aided Design is a needed tool to that end.

I am a CAD designer with varied experience. This has been a thirty-year mixture of aerospace and automotive work. I have worked on assignments for Pennsylvania State University’s Naval Research Lab, Boeing, Hamilton Sundstrand, and Aerojet on the Atlas 5 rocket. I have also provided CAD services in support of two X-Prize teams.

I am now able to offer services from my home. I have capacity for ALIBRE 3D CAD (www.alibre.com) now, or I can upgrade to Unigraphics if volume warrants. I am prepared to offer services to start up ventures at no cost initially. I will share your investment of time to see your venture to profitability.

I can offer full design services from manual concept sketches to finished CAD models and drawings. Let me know if you have any projects of any size that might help your vision to grow.

Sincerely,

David I. Luther
