Beatriz’ “BeBe” Kelly-Serrato
CEO / Principal Scientist and Engineering Consultant
Aerospace-Science Consulting Consortia, LLC
Beatriz “BeBe” Kelly-Serrato is passionate about space exploration and IT security communications and is working on obtaining her PMP certification; though she believes exploration and the protection of communications systems are difficult tasks, it is necessary to grow and create a vision for our future. Three elements are required for success; marketing, survival plans for our planet, and vision. Her unique challenge is to transition combine aerospace engineering services, security and communications integration and consulting, which is a full and mindful task; she offers a myriad of skills to any potential customer or employer. She provides her skills to the level required and more to accomplish the tasks for the client.
BeBe Kelly was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and her family moved to Iowa when she was six months old. Raised bilingual in English and Spanish, she moved to Texas at the end of the forth grade. She graduated from Bellaire High School and attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, earning a Bachelor of Science in Geology and minored in Geophysics. She continued her studies to complete all necessary for a Secondary Education Post Baccalaureate degree in Composite Science Education. BeBe is also an accomplished vocalist and is the independent small business owner of Vocals Unlimited, dba and Glass of Class Jazz Ensemble and the Principal Consultant of Aerospace – Science Consulting Consortia, LLC, SDB all are woman owned businesses.
BeBe worked as an IT security specialist, a scientist, an aerospace engineer, and as a business project management analyst consultant, building her own company. She currently pursues additional activities she enjoys such as music, management coaching, and professional speaking. In 2009 she consulted for Boeing Space Systems as a Safety Integration Engineer; previously, she was the System Engineering Manager for Command and Data Handling, providing critical support to the Johnson Space Center (JSC) Engineering Avionics Directorate. Prior to that assignment, she was Systems Manager Engineer supporting NASA’s Fight Crew and Thermal Systems, Crew Environmental and Health Systems, and On Orbit Information Systems. She held many positions in the private and government sectors, including providing security network infrastructure for the USAF. One of the most fascinating projects was to provide communication support for International Space Station astronauts during missions lasting six months on average. Her work on the Cisco IP Phone project allows the crew to stay in contact with their families. She especially enjoyed supporting Increment 13 because her friend and fellow church member, Jeff Williams, was a member of the crew. The task was completed during Increment 5 while Commander Peggy Whitson was on board; who honored BeBe and her team with an award for her work on the IP Phone project.
Her current challenge is the combination and transition of engineering management and a revival of IT communications security integration and project management of large IT projects which she has worked in her career. She enjoys working in the safety and project management area for SR& QA so she will investigate these industries for contracts and career development. Several skills must be integrated as well as study for various certifications; the PMP will be completed by the end of July 2012 and this is a requirement by PMI. The CISSP is slated for completion by the end of Dec 2012. BeBe is a Certified FITSP-M by the Federal IT Security Institute. She is working to develop her company Aerospace - Science Consulting Consortia, LLC and is a consultant to the 4Frontiers Corporation, she’s a professional speaker on various topics, and speaks to teachers annually for the Sally Ride Science Festival on the topic of Music Math Science and Physics. She provides mentoring as a Technical Engineering Expert for the Space Settlement Design Competition in March and Aug every year for the Space Foundation a non-profit organization supporting this contest for high school students.
To fulfill her commitment for a robust space program that will continue to explore space for future generations, BeBe is an active volunteer in the space community. Additionally, she is an excellent advisor to the aerospace industry. She serves as President of the Mars Society of Houston, organized the Mars Close Approach event jointly with the Lunar Planetary Institute and JSC Astronomical Society, and Mars Houston Special award dinners to recognize young leaders. She is the AIAA Space Operations Technical Chair. Audiences have heard BeBe present on subjects for maintenance and reliability concepts and their applications to the space program and in other facets of our everyday lives. She’s working to establish a new presence in Houston and is co-joined with a 501 3 (c) nonprofit organization in Huntsville, AL. Huntsville Space Professionals (HSP) and our hub is Houston Space Professionals HOU-SP, our goal to integrate core competencies and keep these professionals here in the City of Houston by finding new career transitions locally if at all possible. She is working to spin off a new recruiting arm to promote the transition of displaced space professionals to assist in assisting them into their next career from aerospace or another location where they could continue to follow their dreams. She is applying her talents in space, science, engineering, music, and as a caring community leader, to explore and share the wonders the universe has to offer as well as the City of Houston. Houston is her home and this is where she prefers to stay and meet this challenge.
Have you heard of the Keshe foundation. It is an organization started by Mehran Keshe who lives in Belgium . This man claims he has invented a free energy and antigravity system capable of faster than light speeds and force field shields like in Star Trek. What do you think? Website is http://www.keshefoundation.com/en/ . Patent is http://www.freepatentsonline.com/EP1770717.pdf . this is a presentation by keshe at Eindhoven. Website is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCFO3-MOCYE . He claims he is being suppressed by governments. I am not too sure about him. I haven't made up my mind about him. Not too sure. Searching for the truth still about him. What do you think? It seems to be fantastic to be true. But he has a team who are under NDA who claim they have seen all the technologies. Luc Vervliet and Jean-LUc of Belgium are also behind him. I dont know what to think. He claims he will go to the moon soon. Do you think he is telling the truth. The truth is so elusive sometimes. Its hard to know whats the truth and whats not. He talks about the existence of aliens and wanting to go to the stars. He claims his technology has health benefits too. There are so many people making similar claims it is hard to ignore it. But without seeing how do we know its true. Do you think it is true?
