I started InterPlanetary Ventures with the idea of creating partnerships between companies, organizations and individuals interested in space eXploration, Research snd Development. InterPlanetary Ventures is a membership based corporation that provides opportunities for our members to get involved in space related activities, and achieve their space related goals. Our goal is to create the terrestrial and space based infrastructures required to support humanity's permanent expansion into the bountiful reaches of our solar system, and then to continue to provide support for people who want to get into space and for people living and working in space.

Halfway To Anywhere...

"Once you get to Earth orbit, you're halfway to anywhere in the solar system." ( Robert Heinlein)

Getting into orbit cheaply has been the stumbling block for space exploration since the start of the first space age in the 20th century. The cost calculations of getting to the moon, mars and the asteroids has always assumed that every molecule needed for the roundtrip and any base development had to be shipped up from earth, with the exception of the Mars Direct plan, which would send an automate… Continue

Space Station Proliferation

There has to be more than one destination in LEO for all the people who want to get into space. These stations should include tourist sections with large enclosed areas for zero-g recreational activities, labs and shops for academic and industrial research and development, and a 'space dock' for construction, repair or assembly of space vessels. There are many countries that have ambitions to explore the solar system, to go to the moon, many corporations that will want to develop manufacturing o… Continue

Getting To The Station

Rockets are the primary means of getting into low earth orbit. The first thing needed are rockets certified to carry people into space. LockMart and SpaceX are developing such rockets, and the Soyuz Launch Vehicle (SLV, the A-2) is already in use. The space shuttle (STS) is due to be retired soon, and is not available for private use.

SpaceX is developing a capsule to carry 4 to 6 passengers/astronauts, the Dragon. We need more capsules in developmet for the available launch vehicles. A British… Continue

Space Station - Way Station

Our mission is getting people into space, as soon as possible, as many as possible. Many things have to happen for access to space to become routine, but while that infrastructure is being built we must move ahead. First we need an orbiting space station that will be a staging point for orbital development of expeditions to the moon, near earth destinations and asteroids. This station can start with the existing International Space Station, or start from scratch. Each new arrival is used to add… Continue

Orbiting Assets: No More Waste

The Jules Verne is docked with the ISS, where it will stay until released to burnup during reentry. Why? What can be done to keep these modules in space, and not throw them away? Talk about a waste of money! There is obviously not enough room to keep it docked with the ISS, but perhaps it could be placed in a parking orbit, the first used spacecraft lot!

The JV would need enough fuel to maintain the parking orbit, or a tender could be orbited to keep everything on track. Future automated cargo… Continue

Dear Kevin,
Thank you very much for informative rich comments. Sure i am preparing the second draft with optimum functionality for the Space station. I need your help in drafting if you could lend some of your time. we could bring out something feasible, and most valued , important to Space Age...

Best regards
