"Will you take 8 minutes and look at a design for a piece of infrastructure we can put in space with six launches? With your help we could mass produce between 2 and 8 HotelsInSpace yearly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivHAO96FIiw  "

GARAGE-TO-ORBIT (TM)

Yes, it's real! A proof of concept has been built. I call it THE JETSONS ON STEROIDS! Here's the skinny:

GarageJet(TM) gives 5 separate, different ROI sources for One Angel Investment. Patented, Trademarked, it provides a completely new transportation system taking us from Garage-to-Orbit(TM) in what I call The Jetsons on Steroids. In a step-by-step approach to orbit, each step produces its own ROI resulting in cheaper tickets to space, thus a larger customer base and some customers can buy their own private orbiter! The ultimate in luxury. Low risk, high ROI. May I send you an executive summary?

George T, Principal

PS:

If you have a Kindle, please pick up my space novel "Love on the Fly"  Also see my dual Star Trek series "Delta Quadrant Voyaging"

Enjoy.

I am a Registered Patent Practitioner with issued patents and applications, trademarks for my low cost, low risk, high ROI Garage-To-Orbit(TM) space tourism start up. I seek funding. A proof-of-concept is being built now. Executive Summary is available to any qualified investor. GT

Welcome, ST. This is an excellent and amazing site. And I hope you enjoy what you find here. Already I'm finding a great deal more than I'd anticipated when I stumbled on it not long ago. It seems geared toward getting as much out of it as you're willing to put in, and everyone appears to respect each other's commitment and vision. Not a "Flame War" yet!

And I might ask for as non-disclosing a description of your experience with patent law. It's been many a year since I sought one, and were working on one right now that might one day be an essential part of any ion-engine design, among other things.

Be sure to check out the Space Investment Summit posting, May 28, and the other events, and sign up with Space Angels. You'll see why, if you haven't.

Best of luck, and I hope you'll share your experience in these areas with us soon.

Thanks a great deal for the detailed information. I seem to remember the concept in a blurb, and perhaps a full article, was it in SciAm? Anyway, the concept itself hasn't enjoyed the kind of experimental potential dreamed of and given to SMART-1's propulsion system, in just one example. I'll spend some quality time talking with the partners, and get back to you ASAP. Some or part of the idea has been in the news, but never in what we think is a new and original application.

There's no question they would workm and with materials advances in recent decades, there might be no top end to the size. There's even several combinations I've seen utilizing sails to deflect NEO's. Imagine, as I'm sure you have, the speeds that could be gained in reaching the outer solar system. (What if Pioneer, for that matter, had such a sail as could be deployed today was attached. That decaying RTG wouldn't be much of a problem. (Had you ever given any thought to these doubling as high gain antennae?)

When is your first launch date?

Hi George, yes. I had a drama series on ABC a few years back and worked on "Miami Vice." Right now I'm in feature film mode. Have you pitched your script yet?

If like to send me the log lines so I can make sure it's not close to something we're working on, I can possibly make some suggestions.

Don't worry about the logo ... you can always update your application later. Once you submit it, a member of our team will contact you to help you polish it for our investor members. Thanks!

Your cautionary track was really appreciated, though my specific point was based on the experience a fellow member had with a regional economic developers in the state, who swiped his business model and while his association with the project gave them the needed credibility with federal grant applications.

And his situation is well-documented. Enough so that federal investigators are now looking into criminal fraud referrals on the part of his former partners, acting under "color of office."

In trusting, Trust but verify is an operable concept, indeed. I hope I never implied that you should be anything other than cautious. My point, I think, was that government entities and their employees shouldn't be automatically treated any differently than any other potential private competitor.

Trusting the government is an unfortunate habit many have developed, in academia in particular.
